Spirit In Glass was filmed throughout the culturally rich Northwest Plateau and mid-Columbia River area. Situated on the Big River, one hundred miles east of Portland, the Dalles was the biggest trading center in the pre-contact West. It was home to the Nez Perce, Yakama, Warm Springs and Umatilla People, who maintained robust cultures in the area for millennia.
